Steps
Insert ChromaGlow on a Track
Select the audio track you wish to enhance. In the Channel Strip Inspector, click an empty Audio FX slot and navigate to 'Distortion > ChromaGlow' to insert the plugin.
Choose a Glow Type
Open the ChromaGlow plugin interface. The 'Type' selector at the top offers various saturation models like 'Modern', 'Classic', 'Tube', and 'Tape'. Experiment with these types to find the character that best suits your sound.
Adjust Input and Output Gain
Use the 'Input' knob to drive more signal into the saturation circuit, increasing the effect's intensity. Use the 'Output' knob to compensate for any perceived volume changes and prevent clipping, aiming for consistent loudness.
Shape the Tone with Filter and Blend
Utilize the 'Low Cut' and 'High Cut' filters to shape the frequency range being saturated. The 'Blend' knob allows you to mix the saturated signal with the original dry signal, perfect for parallel processing effects.
