Steps
Insert a Multi-Output Instrument
Create a new Software Instrument track. In the Channel Strip Inspector, click the 'Instrument' slot and choose a multi-output plugin from the list, such as 'Drum Kit Designer (Multi-Output)' or 'Alchemy (Multi-Output)'.
Create Auxiliary Tracks for Outputs
After inserting the multi-output plugin, a dialog box will typically ask if you want to create auxiliary tracks for the individual outputs. Click 'Create' to automatically generate these aux tracks in the Mixer. If not, go to 'Mixer (View > Show Mixer or Cmd-2)', select the instrument channel, and click the '+' button at the bottom of its channel strip to create new aux sends.
Assign Plugin Voices to Outputs
Open the multi-output plugin's interface. Within the plugin's internal mixer or routing section, assign individual sounds or voices (e.g., kick, snare, hi-hat in Drum Kit Designer) to their respective outputs (e.g., Output 3-4, Output 5-6). These outputs will correspond to the auxiliary tracks you created.
Mix Individual Multi-Outputs
Now in the Logic Pro Mixer (Cmd-2), you will see the individual auxiliary tracks for your multi-output instrument. You can independently apply effects, adjust volume, pan, and routings to each component (e.g., process the kick drum separately from the snare drum).
