Steps

  1. Open the MIDI Transform Window

Select one or more MIDI regions in the Tracks Area. Go to 'Functions > MIDI Transform > Open MIDI Transform Window' (or press Cmd-8) to open the dedicated editor.

  2. Select a Transform Set or Create Custom

In the MIDI Transform window, choose a preset from the 'Factory' menu, such as 'Humanize' or 'Velocity Limiter'. Alternatively, click 'Create' to start building a custom transformation based on your needs.

  3. Define Conditions for Transformation

In the 'Condition' section, specify which MIDI events to affect. For example, set 'Status' to 'Note' and 'Value 1' to 'Greater Than E3' to target specific notes.

  4. Set Operations for Transformation

In the 'Operation' section, define how the selected MIDI events will be modified. Options include 'Add', 'Subtract', 'Set', or 'Scale' for parameters like velocity, pitch, or duration.

  5. Execute the Transformation

Once conditions and operations are set, click 'Select and Operate' to apply the transformation to the selected MIDI events. Use 'Operate' to apply without re-selecting, or 'Select' to only select events matching conditions.
