Steps

  1. Access the Plug-in Manager

Go to 'Logic Pro > Settings (or Preferences) > Plug-in Manager...' This window displays all installed Audio Unit (AU) and MIDI plugins, allowing you to organize and re-scan them.

  2. Organize Plugins with Categories

In the Plug-in Manager, you can create custom categories in the left sidebar by clicking the '+' button. Drag and drop plugins from the main list into these categories to create a personalized menu structure, making frequently used plugins easier to find in your Channel Strip FX slots.

  3. Troubleshoot and Re-scan Plugins

If a plugin is not appearing or crashing, select it in the Plug-in Manager and click 'Reset & Rescan Selection'. For all plugins, click 'Full Audio Unit Reset' to re-scan your entire plugin library. This can resolve various plugin-related issues.

  4. Disable or Enable Plugins

You can temporarily disable plugins by unchecking the 'Use' box next to their name in the Plug-in Manager. This is useful for troubleshooting or if you want to prevent a particular plugin from loading in Logic Pro.
