Steps

  1. Select a Track

Click on the track in the Tracks area where you want to add an effect. The track's Channel Strip will appear in the Inspector (usually on the left side of the screen) or in the Mixer window.

  2. Add an Audio Effect (Insert Slot)

On the Channel Strip, locate the 'Audio FX' section (an empty slot, or a blue button if an effect is already present). Click on an empty slot.

  3. Choose Plugin Category

From the dropdown menu that appears, navigate through the categories like 'Dynamics', 'EQ', 'Reverb', 'Delay', etc., to find the type of effect you need. Select your desired plugin (e.g., 'Compressor', 'Space Designer').

  4. Adjust Plugin Settings

Once you select a plugin, its interface will open automatically. Here, you can adjust its parameters to shape your sound. You can close the plugin window and reopen it later by clicking on the plugin's name in the Audio FX slot.

  5. Reorder or Remove Plugins

You can change the order of plugins by dragging them up or down in the 'Audio FX' list. To remove a plugin, click on its name in the 'Audio FX' slot and select 'No Effect' from the top of the dropdown menu.
