Steps

  1. Open the Channel Rack

Access the Channel Rack by clicking its icon in the toolbar or by pressing F6. This window displays all the instruments and samples currently loaded in your project.

  2. Add an Instrument or Sample

Drag and drop a sample from the Browser onto an empty channel in the Channel Rack, or add a plugin by clicking 'Add' in the Channel Rack menu and selecting an instrument like 'Fruity Slicer' or '3x Osc'.

  3. Program Steps

Click directly on the step sequencer grid next to your chosen instrument to activate steps. Each illuminated step represents a trigger for that sound at that point in the pattern.

  4. Adjust Step Parameters

Right-click on a step to access the Step properties, allowing you to fine-tune velocity, pan, and release per step. Use the Piano roll (F7) for more detailed note editing, including pitch and duration.

  5. Create and Arrange Patterns

Use the Pattern selector at the top of the Channel Rack to switch between patterns. Drag and drop these patterns from the Pattern selector into the Playlist (F5) to arrange your song structure.
