Steps

  1. Add SimSynth to a Channel

In FL Studio, go to the Channel Rack, click 'Add' and select 'SimSynth'. This will instantiate SimSynth as a new instrument channel.

  2. Explore Oscillator Controls

Access SimSynth's interface by clicking its button in the Channel Rack. Experiment with the 'Osc 1' and 'Osc 2' sections to select waveforms like Saw, Square, or Sine, and adjust their 'Level' and 'Detune' to shape the fundamental tone.

  3. Shape Sound with Envelopes

Utilize the 'AMP Env' (Amplifier Envelope) and 'Filter Env' (Filter Envelope) to control the sound's decay and sustain. Adjust 'Attack', 'Decay', 'Sustain', and 'Release' (ADSR) parameters to create percussive or sustained textures.

  4. Apply Filtering and Effects

Modulate the sound using the 'Filter' section's 'Cutoff' and 'Resonance' controls. Assign an LFO to the filter for dynamic movement, and explore the built-in 'Chorus' and 'Delay' effects to add depth and space.
