Steps

  1. Open the Piano Roll

Right-click on the desired Channel in the Channel Rack and select 'Piano roll' from the context menu. Alternatively, select the Channel and press F7 to open its Piano Roll.

  2. Select Notes

Click and drag to select multiple notes, or Ctrl+click individual notes. To select all notes, press Ctrl+A within the Piano Roll window.

  3. Adjust Velocity

In the lower section of the Piano Roll, click and drag the vertical bar corresponding to each note to change its velocity. Higher bars represent higher velocity (louder notes).

  4. Edit Note Properties (Other)

From the 'Note properties' dropdown menu at the bottom left, select options like 'Pan,' 'Release,' 'Cut,' or 'Pitches (Fine)' to adjust these parameters for selected notes by dragging their respective bars.

  5. Quantize Notes

To snap selected notes to a grid, click 'Quantize' (the magnet icon) on the Piano Roll toolbar. Adjust the grid resolution in the pop-up window and click 'Accept'.
