Steps

  1. Access the Plugin Picker

In FL Studio, click the 'Add' button in the Channel Rack to open the Plugin Picker, which lists all available instrument plugins. Alternatively, click an empty effect slot in the Mixer to browse effect plugins.

  2. Browse and Load Plugins

The Plugin Picker displays categories for different plugin types (e.g., 'Favorites', 'Generators', 'Effects'). Select a plugin to load it onto a new channel or into a Mixer insert slot. You can also drag and drop plugins from the Browser's 'Plugin database'.

  3. Manage Plugin Database and Favorites

Open the 'Plugin database' in the Browser window. Right-click on a plugin here to add it to 'Favorites' or categorize it. This customizes your Plugin Picker for faster access to frequently used instruments and effects.

  4. Scan for New Plugins

To add newly installed VSTs, go to 'Options > Manage plugins'. In the Plugin Manager, click 'Find new plugins' to scan your VST plugin folders. Ensure your VST folder paths are correctly added in the 'Plugin search paths' section.
