Steps

  1. Load Audio into NewTone

In FL Studio, drag an audio sample from the Browser directly onto a NewTone instance in the Channel Rack or an empty Mixer Track insert slot. Alternatively, right-click an audio clip in the Playlist and select 'Edit in NewTone'.

  2. Analyze and Correct Pitch

Once loaded, NewTone will automatically analyze the audio's pitch. Use the 'Correct pitch' tool (magnet icon) to quantize notes to the nearest semitone, and 'Correct pitch center' for fine-tuning the individual note's exact pitch.

  3. Adjust Vibrato and Formant

Select individual notes and use the 'Vibrato' slider at the bottom left to reduce or enhance natural vibrato. The 'Formant' control allows you to shift the vocal character without altering the pitch, useful for gender bending or creative effects.

  4. Export Edited Audio Back to Playlist

After making your desired edits, click the 'Send to playlist as audio clip' button (the waveform icon with an arrow) in the top menu bar of NewTone. This will render and export your corrected audio directly into the FL Studio Playlist.
