Steps

  1. Load Harmless and Explore Presets

Add an instance of the Harmless plugin to your Channel Rack. Begin by browsing through its extensive library of factory presets to understand its versatile sonic palette.

  2. Understand the Harmonic Engine

Harmless is a subtractive synth that operates on a harmonic spectrum. Use the 'Harmonic' editor to visually sculpt the timbre of your sound, adding or subtracting individual harmonics.

  3. Modulate with Envelopes and LFOs

Click the 'ENV' tab to access the envelope generators controlling various parameters like volume and filter. Use the 'LFO' tab to apply rhythmic modulations to pitch, filter, or harmonics for dynamic movement.

  4. Apply FX and Refine

Utilize Harmless's built-in effects, including delay, reverb, and chorus, by navigating to the 'FX' tab. Adjust these effects to add depth and space to your sound, then fine-tune your patch using the master 'Volume' and 'Filter' controls.
