How to use FPC drum machine in FL Studio?

Learn how to use FPC to create drum patterns in FL Studio.

Steps

  1. Load FPC

    In the Channel Rack, click the + button and choose FPC from the plugin list. FPC opens with 16 pads similar to an MPC.

  2. Load Drum Sounds

    Click on a pad, then use the controls on the right to load a sample. Click the folder icon to browse for a drum sample file. You can also load presets from the preset menu.

  3. Play Pads

    Click the pads with your mouse or play them via your MIDI controller. Each pad is mapped to a specific MIDI note.

  4. Record a Pattern

    Arm recording and press Play to record a pattern by tapping the pads in real time. The notes appear in the Piano Roll.
