Steps

  1. Open FLEngine in FL Studio

Add FLEngine to a Channel Rack slot by navigating to 'Add > More plugins...' and selecting 'FLEngine'. This will load the modular synthesis environment.

  2. Understand the Modular Interface

Familiarize yourself with FLEngine's canvas, where you add and connect various modules. Modules are categorized by type, such as 'Oscillator', 'Filter', 'Envelope', and 'Effect'.

  3. Add and Connect Modules

Right-click on the canvas and select 'Add module' to choose from the available modules. Drag connections between the output ports (right side) and input ports (left side) of modules to create signal flow.

  4. Design a Basic Synth Patch

Start by adding an 'Oscillator', connecting its output to a 'Filter' input, and then connecting the filter's output to the 'Audio Out' module. Add an 'Envelope' and connect it to modulate the filter's cutoff for basic sound shaping.

  5. Experiment with Modulation

Explore FLEngine's extensive modulation capabilities. Add 'LFO' modules and connect their outputs to parameters of other modules (e.g., oscillator pitch, filter cutoff) to create dynamic and evolving textures.
