Steps

  1. Load Drumaxx and Select Pad

Add an instance of the Drumaxx plugin to your Channel Rack. Click on any of the 16 drum pads to select it for editing; selected pads will be highlighted.

  2. Choose Drum Model and Parameters

For the selected pad, open the 'Model' dropdown menu and choose a drum type (e.g., Kick, Snare, HiHat). Adjust parameters like 'Tune', 'Decay', 'Attack', and 'Noise' to sculpt the drum sound, reacting to the chosen model.

  3. Apply Advanced Shaping

Utilize the 'Modulate' section to apply LFOs or Envelopes to various parameters for dynamic movement. Use the built-in 'EQ' and 'Compressor' sections for each pad to further refine its tone and punch.

  4. Mix and Automate

Route Drumaxx to a Mixer track. Use the individual pad volume and pan controls within Drumaxx, and consider automating parameters via the Playlist to create evolving drum patterns and fills.
