How to quantize notes in FL Studio?

Learn how to snap MIDI notes to the grid in FL Studio.

Steps

  1. Open the Piano Roll

    Select your channel in the Channel Rack and press F7 to open the Piano Roll.

  2. Select Notes to Quantize

    Press Ctrl + A to select all notes, or use the Select tool to pick specific notes.

  3. Quantize

    Go to the Piano Roll menu and choose Tools > Quantize or press Ctrl + Q. Notes will snap to the nearest grid line based on the current snap setting.

  4. Adjust Snap Resolution

    Change the snap setting in the Piano Roll toolbar (magnet icon) to control how tightly notes quantize — e.g. 1/4 beat, 1/8 beat, etc.
