How to load plugins in FL Studio?

Learn how to add VST plugins to FL Studio.

Steps

  1. Scan for Plugins

    Go to Options > Manage plugins. Click Start scan to find all VST/VST3 plugins in your plugin folders. You can add custom folders using the Plugin search paths section.

  2. Add a Plugin as a Channel

    In the Channel Rack, click the + button and find your plugin in the list. Alternatively, drag it from the Browser under Plugin database.

  3. Add an Effect Plugin

    Open the Mixer with F9. Select a mixer track and click an empty effect slot on the right side. Browse and select your effect plugin from the list.
