Exporting & Bouncing · intermediate level

Steps

  1. Set the Export Range

In Arrangement View, set a loop brace over the section you want to export. All stems will be the same length based on this selection.

  2. Open Export Dialog

    Go to File > Export Audio/Video (Ctrl+Shift+R / Cmd+Shift+R).

  3. Select All Individual Tracks

In the Rendered Track dropdown, choose All Individual Tracks. This exports each track as a separate audio file. You can also select specific tracks from the list.

  4. Configure Settings

Set the file type (WAV is standard for stems), sample rate, and bit depth. Enable Normalize if you want each stem at a consistent level, or leave it off to preserve the original mix balance.

  5. Export

Click Export and choose a destination folder. Ableton creates one file per track, named after the track. These stems can be imported into any DAW for further mixing or collaboration.
