Steps

  1. Select MIDI Region(s)

In the Tracks area, click on the MIDI region(s) you wish to quantize.

  2. Open the Region Inspector

Ensure the Inspector panel is visible on the left side of the screen (press 'I' if not). Within the Inspector, look for the 'Region' panel.

  3. Choose Quantize Value

In the 'Quantize' section of the Region Inspector, click the dropdown menu (usually displaying 'Off' or a rhythmic value). Select the rhythmic grid value you want to snap your notes to (e.g., 1/16 Note, 1/8 Triplet).

  4. Apply Quantization

As soon as you select a value, Logic Pro will automatically apply the quantization to the selected MIDI region's notes.

  5. Adjust Quantize Strength/Swing (Optional)

For more subtle quantization, you can adjust the 'Q-Strength' slider to blend between the original and quantized timing. The 'Q-Swing' slider adds a swing feel. These options are usually found directly below the main Quantize menu.

  6. Quantize Individual Notes in Piano Roll (Advanced)

For more precise control, open the Piano Roll Editor (double-click MIDI region), select specific notes, and then use the Quantize functions in the Piano Roll's own Inspector or from the 'Functions' menu.
