How to edit markers

Effectively manage and edit markers in Logic Pro to navigate and organize your projects. Streamline your workflow with precise marker placement.

Steps

  1. Create Markers

    To create a marker, place the playhead at the desired position. Go to 'Navigate' > 'Create Marker' (or use the key command 'Ctrl + M'). You can also click the '+' button in the Global Tracks area's Marker lane.

  2. Rename and Color Markers

    Double-click a marker in the Global Tracks area to rename it. Control-click (or right-click) a marker to access a contextual menu where you can change its color or other properties, aiding visual organization.

  3. Move and Adjust Markers

    Click and drag a marker horizontally in the Global Tracks area to reposition it. To adjust its start or end point (if it's a range marker), click and drag its left or right edge.

  4. Delete Markers

    Select one or more markers in the Global Tracks area and press the 'Delete' key. Alternatively, Control-click a marker and choose 'Delete' from the contextual menu.
