Steps
Enable Quick Swipe Comping
First, record multiple takes to a single track. After recording, click the 'Takes Folder' icon (looks like a downward arrow next to the region name) and select 'Show Takes' from the contextual menu to reveal all recorded takes within the Takes Folder.
Swipe and Select Regions
With Quick Swipe Comping active, click and drag with the Marquee tool or Pointer tool across the desired portions of different takes to automatically create a comp. Logic Pro will highlight the selected segments and mute the unselected parts, instantly forming a composite take.
Edit and Refine the Comp
You can fine-tune your comp by dragging the edges of the swiped segments to adjust their start and end points. To try a completely different comp, simply swipe new selections; the previous comp selections will be replaced.
Flatten and Merge
Once satisfied with your comp, click the 'Takes Folder' icon again and choose 'Flatten and Merge' to consolidate all selected regions into a single audio region. This permanently commits your comp and hides the individual takes.
