Steps

  1. Open the Event List

Select a MIDI region in the Tracks Area. Then, navigate to 'Window > Open Event List' (or use the shortcut Command-7) to open the Event List editor. This window displays all MIDI events within the selected region.

  2. View and Filter Events

The Event List shows event type, position, and value. Use the filter buttons at the top of the Event List to display specific event types, such as notes, controllers, or tempo changes, making it easier to focus on relevant data.

  3. Edit Event Parameters

To edit an event, double-click its value field and enter a new number, or click and drag vertically on the value to change it. You can also change an event's position by editing its bar, beat, division, and tick values directly.

  4. Create New Events

Click the '+' button in the Event List header bar to add a new event. Select the event type (e.g., Note, Control Change, Pitch Bend) and then specify its position and value. This allows for precise manual MIDI programming.
