How to use metronome in FL Studio?

Learn how to enable and configure the metronome in FL Studio.

Steps

  1. Enable the Metronome

    In the transport panel at the top, click the metronome icon (a small metronome shape) to toggle it on. You can also go to Options > Metronome.

  2. Adjust Metronome Settings

    Go to Options > Project general settings (F11). Under the Metronome section, you can change the click sound, volume, and choose whether it clicks during recording only.

  3. Count-In

    Enable count-in by going to Options > Recording and enabling Countdown before recording. This gives you a bar of clicks before recording starts.
