Steps

  1. Pan in the Channel Rack

Open the Channel Rack (F6). For each instrument or sample channel, locate the 'Pan' knob directly below the 'Volume' knob. Turn it left to pan the sound to the left speaker and right to pan it to the right speaker.

  2. Pan in the Mixer

Open the Mixer (F9). Select the Mixer track assigned to your instrument. Just above the volume fader for each track, you'll find the 'Pan' knob. Adjust this knob to pan the entire output of that Mixer track.

  3. Automate Panning for Movement

To create dynamic panning effects, right-click on the 'Pan' knob in either the Channel Rack or Mixer. Select 'Create automation clip'. An automation clip will appear in the Playlist (F5), allowing you to draw in panning changes over time.

  4. Use Fruity PanOMatic for Advanced Panning

For more intricate panning, load the 'Fruity PanOMatic' plugin into an FX slot on a Mixer track. This plugin offers options for LFO-based panning, stereo width adjustment, and more detailed control over your stereo image.
