Steps

  1. Choose Your Sound Source

Start by loading a synthesizer, such as 3x OSC or Sytrus, into the Channel Rack. A noise oscillator or a pad sound works well as a foundation for a riser.

  2. Create a Pitch Automation Clip

In the Piano Roll of your chosen synth, draw a long note. Right-click the 'PITCH' knob in the synth interface and select 'Create automation clip'. Extend this clip in the Playlist and draw a smooth upward curve to create the rising pitch effect.

  3. Add Filter Automation

Right-click on the cutoff frequency knob of your synth's filter and select 'Create automation clip'. In the Playlist, draw another upward curve for this clip, gradually opening the filter as the pitch rises to increase brightness.

  4. Introduce Effects and Mix

Send your riser synth to a Mixer track. Add effects like Fruity Reeverb 2 and Fruity Delay 3. Automate the wet/dry mix of these effects to smoothly introduce them as the riser progresses, enhancing its impact.
