Steps
Create Automation Clip from Mixer Track
Open the Mixer and locate the channel you want to automate. Right-click on the 'Pan' knob for that mixer track. Select 'Create automation clip' from the context menu.
Draw Pan Automation in Playlist
A new automation clip will appear in the Playlist. Click and drag on the clip to create points and lines, drawing in your desired pan movements across the stereo field over time.
Link to Controller (Alternative)
Right-click on the pan knob of any instrument or effect. Select 'Link to controller' and choose an internal controller (like an LFO or Fruity Peak Controller) to automatically modulate the pan.
Use Fruity PanOMatic
Insert 'Fruity PanOMatic' into an effect slot on a mixer track. Adjust its LFO Rate, Depth, and Shape parameters to create automated, rhythmic panning effects without drawing a clip.
