Steps

  1. Open the Movie Window

Go to 'File > Movie > Open Movie...' and select your video file. The Movie window will appear, displaying your video. Alternatively, if a movie is already present in the project, go to 'Window > Open Movie' (or Cmd+9).

  2. Position and Resize the Window

Drag the Movie window to your preferred screen position and adjust its size by dragging its corners. You can also undock it to its own dedicated display if you have a multi-monitor setup for better visibility.

  3. Adjust Movie Sync and Timecode

In the Movie window's local menu (the small dropdown arrow in the top right), you can find options for 'Sync Mode' and 'Movie Settings' to precisely align your video with your Logic Pro project's timeline and timecode.

  4. Import Audio from Movie (Optional)

If your video contains audio you wish to work with, go to 'File > Movie > Import Audio from Movie...' to extract the audio and place it on an audio track in your Logic Pro project, allowing you to process it independently.
