How to play and stop playback in Logic Pro

Steps

  1. Start Playback

    To begin playback of your project, press the Spacebar on your keyboard. Alternatively, click the 'Play' button (a right-pointing triangle) in the Transport Bar located at the top of the Logic Pro window.

  2. Stop Playback

    To stop playback, press the Spacebar again. You can also click the 'Stop' button (a square icon) in the Transport Bar.

  3. Return to Start

    To quickly return the playhead to the beginning of your project, press the 'Return' key on your keyboard. This is also accessible by clicking the 'Go to Beginning' button (a vertical line with a left-pointing triangle) in the Transport Bar.
