Steps

  1. Set Cycle/Locator Range

Before bouncing, define the section of your project you want to export. Enable the 'Cycle Mode' (the yellow loop bar in the ruler) and drag its left and right locators to encompass the entire song, including any reverb/delay tails.

  2. Open the Bounce Dialog

Go to 'File' > 'Bounce' > 'Project or Section...' (or use the shortcut Command + B). The Bounce window will appear.

  3. Choose Destination (WAV/MP3)

In the Bounce window, select your desired output format(s). Check 'PCM' for WAV (uncompressed audio) and 'MP3' for the compressed MP3 format.

  4. Configure PCM (WAV) Settings

For PCM (WAV), typically choose 'Interleaved' for stereo, 'Resolution' of 24-bit (or 16-bit for CD), and 'Sample Rate' matching your project's sample rate (e.g., 44.1 kHz or 48 kHz). Make sure 'Normalize' is set to 'Off' for mastering.

  5. Configure MP3 Settings

For MP3, set the 'Bit Rate' (e.g., 320 kbps for high quality, 192 kbps for good quality) and 'Stereo Mode' (typically 'Joint Stereo').

  6. Bounce and Save

Choose a destination folder for your bounced files. Click 'Bounce'. Logic Pro will process your project and create the selected audio files. Listen to the bounced files to ensure quality and accuracy.
