Steps

  1. Create a Pattern Loop

In the Channel Rack (F6) or Piano Roll (F7), create a musical pattern. In the Playlist (F5), left-click and drag horizontally on the Pattern Clip's title bar to extend it, creating a loop of that pattern. Alternatively, right-click the Pattern Clip and select 'Make unique' to edit a specific instance of the loop independently.

  2. Use Playlist Section Looping

To loop a section of your entire song, select a region in the Playlist (F5) by left-clicking and dragging across the time ruler. Ensure 'Loop Playback' is enabled (the loop icon in the transport bar) or press `L` to toggle it. Press spacebar to play, and only the selected region will loop.

  3. Loop with Automation Clips

If you want to loop an automation change, create an automation clip in the Playlist (F5). Right-click the automation clip and choose 'Make unique' if needed, then drag its end to extend its duration, effectively looping the automation behavior.

  4. Edit Loop Points in Sample Editor

For loops within an audio sample, double-click the sample in the Channel Rack to open its 'Channel Settings'. Go to the 'WAV' tab and ensure 'Use loop points' is checked. Adjust the 'Start' and 'End' knobs in the 'Loop' section to define the desired loop within the sample.
