File Management · beginner level

Steps

  1. Save with Zipped Loop Package

Go to File > Save as and choose the Zipped loop package (.zip) format. This bundles the project file and all its audio samples into one zip file.

  2. Enable Auto-Save

Go to Options > General settings and enable the Auto save option. Set the time interval (e.g. every 5 minutes). Backups are saved in the Backup folder inside your FL Studio data directory.

  3. Find Backup Files

Go to File > Open and navigate to the Backup subfolder in your FL Studio user data folder. Backup files are named with timestamps so you can restore any previous version.

  4. Manual Backup

Copy your entire project folder (including audio files) to an external drive or cloud storage regularly to prevent data loss.
