Steps

  1. Select Tracks to Group

Hold Ctrl (Cmd on Mac) or Shift and click on the track headers of the tracks you want to group together.

  2. Create the Group

Press Ctrl+G (Cmd+G on Mac) or go to Edit > Group Tracks. The selected tracks will be placed inside a new Group Track with a collapsible arrow.

  3. Collapse and Expand

Click the arrow on the Group Track header to collapse or expand the group. Collapsing hides the child tracks to keep your session tidy.

  4. Group Track Processing

The Group Track has its own device chain, volume fader, and pan controls. Any effects you add to the Group Track are applied to all child tracks. This is useful for bus processing like group compression or EQ.
