Steps

  1. Assign Controls in MIDI Map Mode

Enter MIDI Map Mode by pressing Ctrl/Cmd+M. Click on a parameter in your devices or mixer you want to control, then move a knob or fader on your MIDI controller to assign it.

  2. Use Macro Controls for Groups

Group multiple devices by selecting them and pressing Ctrl/Cmd+G. Map various parameters from these devices to the new Macro Controls for consolidated performance control within a single rack.

  3. Create Follow Actions for Clips

Right-click on a clip in Session View and open its 'Launch' tab. Set 'Follow Action' to trigger other clips, scenes, or stop actions after the current clip finishes, adding automation to your performance.

  4. Automate Parameters Directly

Switch to Arrangement View and enable Arranger Automation mode (A). Draw automation envelopes directly on device parameters or track volume/pan to create pre-programmed performance dynamics.
