Steps
Group Devices into an Instrument/Audio Effect Rack
Select one or more devices in your Device View (hold Ctrl / Cmd to select multiples, or Shift for adjacent ones). Right-click on any selected device and choose 'Group' (or use Ctrl+G / Cmd+G). This creates an Instrument Rack or Audio Effect Rack depending on the devices chosen.
Map Parameters to Macro Controls
Click the 'Macro' button in the Rack's header to reveal the Macro Controls. Click the 'Map' button. Now click any parameter within the Rack's devices (volume, filter frequency, effect dry/wet). Then click one of the eight 'Map' buttons next to the Macro Knobs. Repeat for as many parameters as you wish to control.
Adjust Mapping Ranges
After mapping, the 'Map Mode' will still be active. For each mapped parameter, you can adjust its 'Min' and 'Max' values in the 'Mapping Browser' that appears on the left. This defines how much the parameter changes when you turn the Macro Knob. Click 'Map' again to exit Map Mode.
Rename Macro Controls
Right-click on any Macro Knob and select 'Rename'. Give it a descriptive name (e.g., 'Filter Sweep', 'Delay Mix', 'Ambience'). This makes your custom rack intuitive and easy to use.
