Universal Audio has released Luna 2.0, featuring what they call the most accurate analog tape emulation ever created in software, along with a completely redesigned interface and new collaboration tools.

The centerpiece of Luna 2.0 is "Oxide 2," an updated version of their tape emulation that now models the physical behavior of tape at the molecular level. UA claims it captures subtle tape characteristics like print-through, shed, and flutter that no other plugin has successfully replicated.

New Interface and Workflow

The redesigned interface takes cues from vintage console layouts while maintaining modern functionality. A new "Console View" arranges your session like a physical mixing desk, with motorized-fader-style automation that responds to touch gestures on compatible trackpads.

Luna 2.0 also introduces real-time cloud collaboration, allowing multiple producers to work on the same session simultaneously from different locations. Changes sync in real-time with sample-accurate precision.
